Irish CAO website blocked by malicious attack
The CAO website containing offers of college places for students has crashed because of an attack from an unknown, malicious, sourceIt is believed to be a denial of service attack, which is the most common kind of attack.
The CAO server will have been overwhelmed by tens of thousands of bogus requests.
Dealing with all these bogus requests means it has got no time for valid ones.
It said applicants will receive their offers by post and can accept by post too.
If you ask me looks like some pissed off student who didn't get any offers for college decided " If I don't go to college no one will ".
Only thing is. He forgot about the old snail mail . But I guess kids of today wouldn't know about all those old things only the new technology .
Also posses the question that if indeed it was a disgruntled student that done this . Don't they deserve a computer course at least .

Irish Government should have gone to Zimbabwe
I think the Irish Gov should have got Zimbabwe to bale out the banks .
Would have saved us loads .
5 BILLION DOLLARS (Zimbabwe, May 2008)!
25 BILLION DOLLARS (Zimbabwe, May 2008)!
50 BILLION DOLLARS (Zimbabwe, May 2008)!
100 BILLION DOLLARS (Zimbabwe, Apr 2008)!
500 BILLION DOLLARS (Zimbabwe, Apr 2008)!
10 BILLION DOLLARS (Zimbabwe, ~2007)!
Imagine how many banks we could bale out with a few of these notes .
Our Economy would be back up and running in no time...lol.
